63 years. A lot of countries. Several careers. A few hard lessons. Still learning.
I grew up in Michigan. Since then I've served in the Marine Corps, worked in intelligence and counterintelligence, lived and worked in a lot of different countries, and spent years in insurance and financial services.
That mix is why my interests run wide — investing, health and wellness, technology, and building financial freedom. I don't claim to be an expert in all of it. I've just lived enough of it to have opinions worth sharing, and enough hard lessons to stay honest about what I don't know.

My story
I've never followed a conventional path. I spent much of my adult life serving in the U.S. Marine Corps and working in intelligence and counterintelligence, with assignments and experiences that took me around the world. Later, my career moved into insurance, financial services and other work centered around helping and understanding people.
Along the way, I became increasingly interested in health, nutrition, technology, personal development and financial independence. I've learned that improving your life usually isn't the result of one big decision. It comes from continually learning, trying new things and keeping what actually works.
AllenBauer.com grew out of that philosophy. It's my place to share products, tools, ideas, experiences and opportunities that I personally find interesting or useful. Some are related to wellness, some to technology and personal development, and some to creating additional income and greater financial independence.
I'm not here to pretend I have all the answers. I'm still learning, experimenting and evolving. If something I've discovered can help someone else live healthier, think differently or build a better future, then this website has done what I created it to do.
