Which diet is better for you? Paleo, Atkins or Ketogenic?
Every now and then you come across a gem on the internet and Anita Tee from Fact vs Fiction is it.
She’s a scientist and provides clear and concise information in an easy to understand format.
But the answer to the question of which diet is best is, it depends on your goals.
Listen as Antia Tee explains the benefits of Paleo, Atkins and the Ketogenic Diet.
Anita states that while Paleo, Atkins and Ketogenic diets are similar, the main difference comes down to how many carbs are allowed.
Paleo – Has the most generous carbs at 150 grams. This can be used depending on your goals such health, weight loss, maintenance, or athletics. This diet works great for athletes competing in events.
Atkins – While you start out at 20 grams of carbs which will put your body into ketosis during phase 1, you will eventually end up with 100 grams of carbs. Many people complain of low energy on this diet near the end.
Ketosis – Which is her recommended diet of the three if you can do it, puts your body into ketosis, where your body burns fat instead of glucose.

The main difference of this diet is only 5% of of your diet is from carbs. A carb is about 4 calories. So on a 2000 calorie a day diet you would be allowed 25 grams of carbs.
60% to 80% will be eating fats.
The rest of what you eat will be protein.
Anita stated that initially as your body learns to switch over to burning fat instead of glucose, that you may initially experience a few days of feeling crappy.
However, in the future if you go back to the ketosis diet, you should not experience those symptoms of feeling lethargic.
I personally plan to try a form of the Ketogenic Diet starting this Friday.
I am just finishing up my second round on the HCG Diet where I have now lost a total of 57 pounds so far.
As you can see my progress from my latest picture.
While the HCG Diet has worked great for me, I don’t think it’s something most people can do. That’s why I’m looking into the Ketosis Diet now and will continue to publish my results on here.
The other main thing I learned was a majority of my weight loss also depended on my mental state.
The biggest reason I gained weight in the first place was from PTSD, depression and anxiety.
I used food to comfort my situation, which made me gain weight, which made me more depressed. It was a vicious cycle.
Then I discovered CBD Oil which helped me get my mental state of mind under control, which I needed in order to loose my weight.
So there you have it on the differences between the Paleo, Atkins and Ketosis diets.
I’ll be posting my updates on how this works out for me so you can see if it’s something you may want to incorporate into your life also.
